Last week J and I went camping in Pine Lake Provincial Park - just south of Saskatoon. We got to the campsite and found all of my mom's family there - my aunts, uncles, cousins. What a surprise ;)
The weather was perfect for the first day - a balmy afternoon, and a warm but comfortable evening, perfect for tenting. The second day was rainy, so we hid out in the shelter and played games, then split up: the museum for those interested - and the movies for us and some of the cousins. Hooray, Harry Potter! We wandered around downtown saskatoon and found a fabulous little bistro with a green floor. I have no idea what it was called, but the food was great - you should definitely check it out!
Maria tagged along with us back home in the car, no easy feat in a civic with three people plus camping gear. She's staying here the week, and we've been having a fabulous time: watching movies, playing games, doing a spot of cooking (we invented a marvelous pasta sauce to eat with our spaghetti squash), and reading. Hooray for sisters!
And this weekend Erika and Chuck will be here - good times!
